Amy Yarnell
Music Director
Piano/Female Voice
Amy Yarnell is a Missouri native who developed a love for music at an early age. She began taking piano lessons at six years old and grew up singing and playing in her church. At fifteen, she became her church’s pianist and later served as Music Director for ten years. It was through this experience that she discovered her passion for helping children develop their musical abilities and confidence. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Evangel University and a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Drury University. Before moving to North Carolina, she taught K–12 vocal music in Missouri and middle school gifted education in Tennessee.
Since joining Encore Performing Arts Studio in 2021, Amy has taught piano, voice, ukulele, and music classes while working with students of all ages and abilities. She now serves as Music Director, where she oversees the studio’s music programs, supports and mentors instructors, and works to create meaningful musical experiences for students and families. Amy is passionate about helping students build strong musical foundations, discover their unique talents, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Luke Taylor
All Instruments
Luke Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist music teacher native to North Carolina. Although he did study saxophone under Dr. Scott Kallestad, he has a varied experience performing on a wide variety of instruments, and in a wide range of genres. Luke received his Bachelor's Degree from Appalachian State University in Music Education with a concentration in instruments under Dr. John Ross, and a certificate in Jazz Studies under Todd Wright. After his studies, Luke briefly taught at Whiteville High School, before moving to Charlotte to be with his wife, Courtney. After working for Music and Arts, Luke followed his wife to the Sandhills, where they teach today. In addition to teaching music at Encore, Luke can be seen enjoying performance on stage as an actor as well.

Grace Cole
Violin/Viola/Musical Theatre
Grace Cole began studying Suzuki violin at age four and continued her studies with Mary Ann Tortolano. By age 14, she began her studies on viola and studied under Susan Grzesnikowski and Katie Wyatt. In high school she was a member of the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra and toured with them throughout Austria and Germany. She went on to study with Tsuna Sakamoto (National Symphony Orchestra) at the Catholic University of America where she earned a BA in Music and Hispanic Studies. She taught middle school music for two years in Washington, DC and thoroughly enjoys getting to personalize her lessons based on student needs.

Jung Ju Cha Kops
Piano
JJ has a dual degree from Silla University, Busan South Korea; Music Education; First major – Piano; Second major – Percussion and Violin Physical Education. Having worked at Community Education Center for Bryan County Schools for 11 year, she has over 20 years of experience playing and teaching piano. Teaching piano to children and adults from the ages 5+, JJ can play and teach various types of music which include pop, jazz, and classical.

Julianna McCloskey
Piano/Guitar
Julianna began teaching at Encore! in August of 2019, shortly after moving to North Carolina with her husband and two children. Originally from Pennsylvania, she developed a love for music at a young age through piano lessons. Julianna participated in numerous ensembles throughout high school and college, playing bassoon, piano, and percussion and accompanied several choirs and soloists. Following her graduation from Mansfield University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy, she went on to work in the field of music therapy for 10 years. It was throughout this time that Julianna concentrated heavily on guitar and honed her improvisation skills on both the piano and guitar. She has taught over 100 private students throughout her 17 years of teaching. Julianna loves encouraging her students to work diligently while also finding joy in their music making experience.

Micaiah Williams
Piano/Voice
Micaiah is currently the music instructor at Moore Montessori school along with instructing at Encore. He grew up singing in his church ever since he was able to talk. His passion for the arts continues to blossom after receiving his AFA in Theatre at Sandhills Community College. Along with working in theatre he has worked as a church pianist. He pulls from his experiences and uses his unique flair to bring fun and insight into every lesson. He is continuing his education currently and can't wait to inspire future musicians.

Margaret Graziano
Voice
Margaret Graziano, mezzo soprano, possesses a sound, combining depth, warmth, and clarity. Originally from St. Louis, Margaret has performed with Vespertine Opera, OperaWorks, Portland Summer Opera Program, Amalfi Coast Summer Opera, and Springfield Regional Opera, among others. She has been seen in roles including Mélantho in Fauré’s Pénélope, Third Lady and Third Spirit (Die Zauberflöte), and in the chorus for productions of Semele, Carmen, and Trial by Jury. As part of the 2015 OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program, Margaret created the role of one of the religious fanatics for the original production Singed, the program’s culminating performance. As a member of the 2011-12 Springfield Regional Opera Young Artist Program, she also performed in scenes programs as Charlotte (Werther), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), and Sesto (Giulio Cesare). Most recently she could be heard in Red River Lyric Opera Summer Festival's Production of Il Matrimonio Segreto in the role of Fidalma and as Ms. Northwind in Jonathon Dove's The Enchanted Pig with Opera Steamboat . In concert, Margaret was heard with the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra in the Mermaid Duet from Oberon, as the incidental music soloist in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and as the soloist for the Duruflé Requiem. She was also heard as the soloist for the Mosaic Springfield Music Ensemble’s production of the Fauré Requiem. In 2015, she competed in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions for the Northwest Region, winning the Helen Price Encouragement Award. Margaret received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Drury University and a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington. She has taught voice privately to students of all ages and experience levels for ten years.

Harriet Williams
Piano/Voice
Harriet Williams is a songwriter, recording artist, and lifetime learner with over 20 years of experience in music, ministry, and teaching. Her passion for learning is paired with a heart for bringing out the best in each student and helping them find joy in developing their gifts. In addition to serving at church and teaching at a private school, Harriet enjoys spending time with family, performing at nursing homes, and attending school online. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Music Education at Liberty University.
